Never put your passport in the glove box/compartments if you’re planning on leaving the vehicle in an airport parking lot for a while

About 2 months ago I went on holiday, everything went smoothly, I got on the plane, and arrived at my destination. That was until I got to passport control. I reached into my bag, but my passport wasn’t there. I frantically searched my bag, jacket and everything, but nothing. I eventually remembered that when I stopped at a petrol station for some snacks, I put my passport in the glove box. I was genuinely panicking, and thought about how I’m going to get to my holiday, but fortunately I had my driving license on me, and it was one of the accepted forms of ID, so in the end it wasn’t a disaster.

My tip to you, if you’re planning on leaving a vehicle at an airport for a long amount of time, don’t put your passport in the glove box, or anywhere in the car because it’s most likely going to get stolen.
