What's the best advice you can give to trans women about dating cis men?

I've heard a bunch of really weird and misogynistic advice about trans women dating cis men. For example I've heard it said that trans women should only be with men who are also trans. Why is that advice? It's not like trans women have some special gift that they bring to relationships that only other trans women can appreciate.
