AITA for walking away from helping my SIL after she lost her phone?

So my SIL (F24) has been having a rough time lately. Her and husb have been fighting a lot, she lost her job, and she lost her phone. She called me up this morning asking if she could stay with me for a few days because she has no way of getting in contact with anyone. I said yes, no problem, let me get the guest room ready.

Then she drops off her dad(50sM) and little brother(10Cs) as well saying they need to get out of the house and it’s only temporary. I love my dad but I need a break from him. He’s kind of a jerk and doesn’t really understand personal boundaries. As for my brother by marriage I really like him, but I don’t want to leave my home dirty because my parents are reluctant to clean. I asked SIL about watching her kids and she said no way, I’m going to work from home and take care of them while my dad takes care of my dog.

When they get here I ask if they could help me clean before they just leave all of their stuff sitting in my house. She tells me to shut up and I say no I’m gonna go work out to get away from her. So I go work out for an hour and a half and when I come back everything is clean and they’re gone. When I got back I noticed my spare house key was missing.

My mom says I’m an asshole for walking away and that I should’ve dealt with it like an adult. My dad agrees with me and says I did the right thing. I want to know if I was an asshole for leaving or if I handled it the right way.
