Throwaway account.

I'm 32, my brother is 29 and my wife is 30. My wife and I are expecting a baby together and are in effect 4 months pregnant. My brother has been shorter than me since he was in High school and I'm the tallest in my family and has always been self-conscious about it.

My brother has no problems finding girls and is decently good looking for his height. He has a decent job but not the best paying one. My wife and I bought house last year in a different state and my brother lives in the state where we used to. We invited my brother over for Christmas and he agreed. We have been busy with renovations ever since we moved in and my wife has been nesting since she found out she was pregnant which is why the house is still moderately disorganized.

We came home from grocery shopping yesterday and we didn't have the keys on us since we usually don't need them to get in because the digital lock is turned off when we unlock the door and the house only locks after 10 mins. The lock was already on which raised some red flags since we didn't turn it on before we left. When we got in, we couldn't find my brother anywhere but his car was parked in the driveway. We looked around the entire house before we finally found him in our walk-in closet. He was sitting on the floor with my wife's bras and a pair of her panties in his hands. He froze. I didn't say anything and just sat on the bed to wait for him to talk. He didn't say anything for a while before he bolted out of the room. I followed him and he said he's going back home in the morning and rushed to his room, locked the door and shut the window. he wouldn't come out when I called him.

I told my wife what happened and she was in shock. I told her it could be an anomaly and he might have been looking for something and mistook her lingerie for ours but she insisted that he's been doing this behind her back since forever. She then told me that she started to suspect something when she and my brother were out with a couple of their friends at a bar and my brother was drinking more than usual and at one point, he told my wife that he wished he could "visit" her room at night. My wife told him to stop but he didn't. He even went as far as to ask her if she'd let him "Google her" (I'm paraphrasing here idk what the hell he meant by that) and my wife said no but my brother kept insisting. This happened sometime last year before we moved to our new house and she has been afraid of telling me because she was afraid I'd overreact and ruin our relationship with my brother. I was livid and wanted to go confront him but my wife insisted we wait until morning.

This morning, we were all dressed and ready to go. My brother was still in his room and hadn't come out yet. My wife suggested we go to a park nearby and I told her to tell my brother to come with us. I told him we were going for a walk and he just shook his head and said he's staying home. When we came back, my brother was gone and he left a note saying he's going back home, he's sorry and that he'll call me sometime. My wife and I are both livid. I called my parents and told them what happened and they said they'll talk to him and get back to me soon.

What do I do? Do I call the cops? Do I confront him? What the hell do I do? I feel like I failed as a brother and as a husband and I don't know what to do.
