It's ok to play sports not at 100% intensity.

I grew up in a sports family. I was in multiple sports at a time, and was considered a good athlete. I also have a younger brother. At my peak, I was our high school team's MVP and made it to state level competition. I have a brother, and over the years we've had opportunities to play some of the same sports together. Those were truly special times for me. Unfortunately, in some of those games, I didn't give it my all because I wanted to be there with him, and I thought if I could help him shine in our shared sport it would make him happy and a better athlete. I feel so much better not giving 100% and bonding than I would if I crushed him every time and won.

EDIT: I may have misspoken when I said 100% intensity. I think what I mean is 100% competitiveness. I can still run my butt off and give it everything I have and still not be super competitive.
