Perma ban anyone who touches your stuff

As a kid I used to have a lot of toys and electronics, mainly my gaming console and video games. Some of my friends would borrow these items and either return them damaged or not at all. <br><br>One day I had enough so I made an announcement that anyone who touched my stuff without asking me first was perma-banned as a friend for life, no exceptions. To my surprise it worked! They all started asking before touching my stuff but also they stopped borrowing my stuff altogether. <br><br>Over the years I lost a few friends since they all assumed I was joking about the perma ban, but it was worth it. No one ever steals or loses my stuff. <br><br>To this day I still have the same policy and it's served me very well. People will stop being lazy and buy their own stuff instead of relying on you to lend it to them, they'll also stop trying to dip into your food because they know they'll never be invited over again.
