I’ve been working from home for a few months for the quarantine and learned how to make morning the best time of my life

Your schedule should not revolve around the amount of work hours you need, but when your “work hours” should really just be secondary to your “circadian rhythm hours” (not a real thing but just go with it)

Those “I’m not a morning person” people woke up every day to the sound of an alarm clock jolting them out of their sleep. I wake up every day to the sound of birds outside my window. I used to wake up at 7am for work but now I’m sleeping at 10 and waking up at 5am. Give yourself time for your brain to wake up slower, better than jolting yourself awake for work and being drowsy all morning. I get to watch the sunrise every day and it’s honestly the highlight of my day. I get to plan out what I’m gonna do in the morning instead of forcing my groggy ass to work right away.

The most important thing is that you need to keep your natural work hours. If you’re used to working 8 hours a day 9-5 you still need to keep that 8 hours somewhere. If you want to sleep in later then you need to go to sleep later, otherwise you’re just sleeping more and ruining your circadian rhythm. What worked for me was sleeping a little later and waking up a little earlier every day until my brain adjusted.
