Hello everyone, I am a 20-year-old Muslim woman; my boyfriend and I have been dating for a year now. He is Hindu and I am Muslim. My parents and his parents are all aware of this relationship and are very supportive of us.<br><br>I had thought of this relationship just for fun and I had no idea that someday I would fall in love with him so much that I would want to spend the rest of my life with him. And I realized that I didn't want to spend my life with anyone else, he is the most important thing for me in this world; he is simply the love of my life.<br><br>I've been thinking about this for a few days and I've come to the conclusion that even if there's a small chance that my family won't agree, I still want to be with him. My parents are very strict and I know they won't agree with this decision.<br><br>My boyfriend is very understanding and patient. He said to me when I told him about my decision that he would always support me no matter what I do or will do. He is willing to marry me in both the Islamic and Hindu faiths if and only if I do not convert. This is something that I really appreciate about him.<br><br>However, I want to convert to Hinduism. While my boyfriend is understanding and respecting my choice, he does want me to live in an interfaith marriage. But I am not OK with this. I would rather convert to Hinduism before marrying him.<br><br>Hinduism is an incredibly beautiful religion; I have also read the Bhagavad Gita and other Hindu scriptures. It is full of wisdom, love, and truth. I know I have a long way to go, but this was my thought process.<br><br>Now I want to ask you, dear Hindu brothers and sisters, how should I proceed with converting to Hinduism? I am very aware that my parents will not accept this if they find out, so I have to do it discreetly.<br><br>Also, I am afraid that I will lose my job as a result of this. I work in a Muslim-dominated field and they are very conservative people. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.<br><br>I am currently reading about Hinduism but I am not sure what denomination I want to follow. Is it possible to be just a Hindu or do I have to follow a certain denomination like the Arya Samaj?<br><br>Also, what legal steps must I take to convert to Hinduism?
