CMV: Certain regular commenters in this sub are intentionally lowering the quality of the discourse

I regularly enjoy reading the discussion and occasionally participating in them. Lately, however, I've noticed a couple of users who regularly comment in threads, and in particular on the front page, with regularity. <br><br><br><br>I think it's possible these users are intentionally trying to disrupt or ruin the discussion by:<br><br>A) Not actually arguing CMV, but strawmanning or being purposefully contrarian or obstinate. <br><br>B) Asking pointed "gotcha!" style questions about race/sex/sexual orientation/religion as if trying to lead the discussion towards a uncomfortable fringe view (i.e. something prejudiced/bigoted)<br><br>C) Engaging in whataboutism or asking continual and unending follow up questions, designed to derail the conversation. <br><br><br><br>If you're one of these commenters, **CMV**: You're not trying to have a serious discussion, but merely lowering the quality of the discourse on this sub.
