AITA for taking back the coffee my husband bought for me?

I(30f) am a daily coffee drinker. My husband(30m) typically makes me a morning coffee but of course there are occasions when he is in a rush or has to leave before I am awake, so I have to make my own coffee.

To show appreciation, I typically bring home his favorite snack items. He loves Reese’s cups, Cheez-its and Cheetos but since they are not good for him, he indulges only when I bring them home from my out of town trips for work.

So last weekend, I told him I was going to buy him a bag of his favourite Reese’s cups kisses (the orange ones). He said it was ok but asked if I could also bring home a 1kg bag of Cheetos and a 1kg bag of Cheez-its.

I agreed and when I was looking for the money in our shared drawer, I realised he had used all our cash leaving only my money. I decided to use my money to buy the snacks since I wanted to show my appreciation. When I couldn’t find Caffeine-free instant coffee, he suggested that I use my money to buy a cup of coffee from an establishment and I said sure.

I bought the snacks and the coffee but felt that since it was also my coffee, I should be allowed to drink it too. I brought him a glass and he said “this is not the coffee that I am used to, I was expecting the coffee you used to make for me”. I said I used up all of it to make the caffeine-free instant coffee I bought for myself and took back the bag of snacks, keeping only my cup of coffee.

He was not happy with what I did and our fight lasted for a day and a half. He said that since I used our money to buy the snacks, he should be entitled to the coffee I made for him whether I like it or not. A friend who heard our side of the story said that I was an AH for taking back the snacks I bought with my money since he is entitled to the coffee I made for him.

So, AITA?
