Gender differences in solo travel

My husband and I want to travel but we have different ideas about what that would look like. He says we should both quit our jobs and backpack around the world for a year(!) and I’d rather spend 4-5 days with each destination.<br><br>I’m not comfortable with backpacking today, maybe someday I will be. He’s done this sort of trip before (without me) and I imagine it’s more enjoyable with a friend.<br><br>I don’t like bus rides unless under 4 hours, prefer female only accommodations, don’t have experience with camping, and prefer cities to nature. I’m completely fine with not doing all of the “touristy” things and I don’t need an expensive hotel, just a private bathroom in a safe neighborhood.<br><br>He may be more interested in solo travel but he wouldn’t trade his corporate job for anything in the world.<br><br>Honestly, I wouldn’t mind traveling solo.
