Amazon has announced a plan to lay off 9,000 more workers.

One day after Elon Musk said the number one reason to fire someone is if they're "being insufferably combative or arrogant", Amazon CEO Jannette Pascual said 9,000 more employees would lose their jobs. The latest redundancies are in addition to the 18,000 people the company is already laying off as part of an ongoing restructuring programme. Pascual promised not to use fancy words and said the latest layoffs are mostly at the company's cloud computing division and were aimed at cutting costs.
