To the men in this sub who are actually interested in making a positive change, not just throwing strawman arguments at the women who posted, I implore you to do better.

Stop supporting the destruction of women’s rights, stop supporting anti-abortion movements, stop supporting anti-abortion violence. Stop being the reason women can’t control their own bodies.

Stop advocating for women to stay in abusive marriages, stop advocating for women to not divorce their abusive husbands. Stop telling women to stay with men who hurt them, physically, emotionally, or otherwise. Stop telling women that their lives are less important than your ego. Stop trying to control women’s bodies, stop trying to control women’s lives.

Stop supporting the patriarchy. Stop trying to hold onto power. Stop trying to keep women in their place. Stop being the reason women can’t achieve their full potential. Stop trying to erase women’s work and contributions. Stop trying to erase women from history.

Stop being perpetrators of violence. Stop being perpetrators of sexual violence. Stop being perpetrators of intimate partner violence. Stop being perpetrators of sexual harassment.

Stop being complicit in the silence of other perpetrators of violence. Stop being complicit in covering up abuse. Stop being complicit in enabling abusive behavior.

Stop being the reason women are afraid to speak out against abuse. Stop being the reason women are afraid to report abuse. Stop being the reason women are afraid to seek help. Stop being the reason women feel alone in their struggles. Stop being the reason women feel like they can’t ask for help.

I’m sure there are other things you can do better, but that’s a good start.
