Communism is not inevitable.

Claims the real woke™ Proletarian.

After the last couple of Proletarian posts, it occurred to me that not every post needs a shit ton of sources. Sometimes the raw ideas are just more digestible. This post will offer you the impression from someone who's honestly read through a shit ton of pro-communist historical and philosophical literature of recent.

>“If we have to tell you why Communism is better, you’re already lost.”
>
>—Karl Marx

I understand Proletarian as an endeavour to try and utilise propaganda on a platform that is not quite built for the type of propaganda that Communists would run with. There is a time and place for propaganda. The internet is largely saturated since people no longer engage with the real world, people engage with the internet.

As a former enthusiast for Communism I understand how the desire to bring a better reality into existence can be rewarding. The world can seem pretty bleak at the moment, and any suggestions of change are inviting. I no longer believe that Communism is the solution, I used to though, and I've come to believe that people arguing for one flavour of society over another is the real root of the problem.

The fundamental issue Proletarians face when trying to advertise their cause is that people are already wedded to their own ideas about society. So people either won't listen to you, won't give you the time of day, or won't take you seriously. As time goes on, the struggle to attract new converts becomes more futile.

People are not easily swayed by words. You can't change how people feel about society by telling them why this or that flavour of society is better or worse.

If you want to enjoy Proletarian as a community or space to engage with others about Communism, then that is absolutely fine. If you want to engage with it because you really want to change the world, then you're better off investing your time in other places.

Communism isn't inevitable, people won't be swayed by words. The advantages of Communism will become apparent when people are living with the problems of Capitalism that Communism offers solutions to.
