I got my first license almost a year ago; after a tan, I held it up to a light to see my name. It said a mix of my name and a big smudge of black. I had to go up to the license office twice (had to wait for my tan to fade) to get a new license. The lady at the license office said it's common in areas with lots of beaches; if you tan easily, this may apply to you.<br><br>Edit: Some people have recommended laminating your license after getting it.
