AITA for saying my brother and SIL can either babysit without paying me or I'll pay them to babysit?

So, I have a 3 month old. His name is Kyle.

Kyle is my first and only child. My parents have only one son - me - but my father has a brother who has two boys. Everyone is close and it's like we grew up together.

One of the cousins has a 3 year old girl and the other has a 3 year old boy. They are as close as siblings can get. I also have a younger brother who has a 10 month old.

For Christmas last year, our entire family decided to rent a house in the mountains and spend Christmas together.

My issue is with my brother and his wife. They have a baby boy, and they are always complaining about how hard it is, how they don't get a break, how they don't have time for anything anymore, etc.

So, when we made the arrangements to go to the mountains, I thought it would be a great opportunity for them to get a "break" if we left our baby with them while we went out with my wife.

So, I asked them if they could babysit Kyle one night so we go out with my wife and get some fresh air during our Christmas reunion. My brother agreed.

But his wife said that will be hard because they already have their baby and now they will have to look after mine as well and it's just too much work for them to babysit.

I said I get it and asked if they would agree to babysit under the understanding that we will take care of dinner, and pay for the movie or whatever they want to do and also we will pay them $50 for doing us the favor.

She said that wasn't enough and that babysitting two babies is too much for $50. I said in that case, maybe they can just babysit Kyle and I'll watch their baby instead of them having to watch two babies, and we'll still pay for the movie and dinner.

But in that case, they wanted to be paid $50 for babysitting just one baby.

I said no, that's insane and told my brother to tell his wife that if she goes with the first option and we'll pay her $50 to babysit Kyle, or if she chose the second option then we will pay her $50 to babysit her own baby and I will watch it.

My brother said that his wife will go for the first option. In that case, I told him to tell her that she will have to babysit both Kyle and her own 10 month old baby, or she can just babysit Kyle and we will pay her $50 to babysit her own baby, or we can just pay her $50 to babysit Kyle and nothing else.

My brother said that his wife will go for the first option.

My brother and SIL ended up babysitting both Kyle and her baby, and we took care of the movie/dinner as I originally offered.

But they didn't say anything about it during our stay and after we got home. However, my brother and SIL both unfollowed me on social media and my brother hasn't replied to my SMS since before Christmas.
