Letting kids win in a game that you've already won is pathetic.

I cannot stand when adults let their kids win when the adult has already won. It's pathetic. You've already won so you're basically telling your kid you're too good for you to ever win so I'll just let you win.

This is horrible parenting. For instance, I was fishing with a buddy, his girl, and her son. The son was probably 8-10 and he was really bad at fishing. My friend caught 2 fish and I caught 1. The boy hadn't caught any. My buddy hooked another fish and when he was trying to get it in said "Wow, this ones a big one! I think I'm going to lose it." When it got close to shore instead of catching it he said "Noooo! He got away! You guys have to get out of here so I can catch another one."

Then he pulled the fish out of the water and into his boat and handed it to his son and told him to reel it in. The kid struggled to get it in the boat and when he did my buddy congratulated him on catching it.

First of all, this was extremely humiliating and pathetic for my buddy. He's already caught 2 fish and now he's essentially saying there's no way you could ever beat me fishing so I'm just going to let you catch one.

Second of all, it's equally embarrassing for the kid. Now instead of being motivated to step his fishing game up, he's being told that he's incapable of catching a fish unless his dad lets him catch one. My buddy should instead be teaching him how to catch fish instead of giving him a participate trophy.
