Invading Poland - but this time with kindness

I'm not much of a planner so my friend and I just picked Poland out of a hat when looking for somewhere to travel in Europe. I thought, "Well Poland just sounds like an industrial country covered in bleak misery and sadness. The food will be terrible, the people will be unfriendly, but I'm a poor asshole college student who can't afford Paris. Here I come Poland!" The joke is on me, because Poland is extremely underrated. I've never had better food, better people, and better attractions than Poland. The people are friendly, the food is great, the history is like nothing you've ever seen (especially in comparison to Lithuania and Latvia, I'm a Baltic asshole), and the cities are modern and clean. It was one of the best trips of my life and I will never stop talking up Poland.

Edit: Jesus Christ this got a lot of upvotes! If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them. We were there for a week and did Warsaw, Krakow, and Salt Mines. We did no planning whatsoever so I'm sure you could see a lot more during that time. I would recommend staying in Krakow because although Warsaw is great, I don't think it needs more than two days. We did Lithuania and Latvia before Poland. Enjoy!
