Why are people from the Middle East barred from immigrating to Israel and yet most people see nothing wrong with Palestinians being banned from the Gaza Strip?

&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: The people I mean are not your far right Americans. It's more the left leaning people who don't understand why Israel doesn't want a Palestinian state joining. I'm not saying I see nothing wrong with why Israel doesn't want a Palestinian state, I just want to know why this doesn't backfire on Israel as much as it does on the US.
