Has anyone ever done a Western-style story with a cast that's mostly POC? What would have changed?

For example, it's a Western with cowboys and saloons, trains, booze, horses and ranches, but it's set in Africa in 1880, or its set in the Amazon in 1930, or its set in India in 1850. Or as alternate history, where the new world is settled by Africans/Indians/Chinese instead of Europeans. I think it might be cool, but I'm not sure where to start with it.
