CMV: America is the only country you can go from poverty to wealthy in just one lifetime.

I know this is a long-standing debate but I don’t believe it. I am not talking about just for one generation. It’s a possibility that your great-grand father was extremely poor, your grand father becomes middle-class, your father becomes wealthy, and you become rich. <br><br>I work for a tech company and I interact with people from all over the world and the reason why they want to come to America is because for the first time they feel like they have the opportunity to for the first time get over the hump of six figures. <br><br>You can literally get a senior engineering job for six figures a year just with 12 years of grade school, high school, and middle school. <br><br>I know there are many social barriers and impediments, but I am talking about pure dollars and cents. <br><br>The closest I found was Brazil, which is just about to join the developed world. <br><br>Edit: I will just add that this is the narrative I am given, but after reading all comments, I am starting to see that it is really not the case.
