What is is like to be a survivor of this horror?

The quarantine was working. The cities were safe now.<br><br>One evening the mayor decided to go out to check the status of the quarantine. His bodyguard opened the door.<br><br>A hunk of meat fell on his face. It was eyes, nose, and mouth. There was blood and sinew trailing above it. The door slammed shut and the mayor could hear his bodyguard screaming outside.<br><br>The guard had been a child.<br><br>One day a hyena began laughing somewhere, and no one could tell where. A woman fell out of a window, crying, laughing, and holding her stomach.<br><br>The local dogs began acting strange. One was caught by a security camera doing tricks for a man in the street. He was jumped by dogs while the camera was still rolling.<br><br>A girl ran out of a house, covered in blood. She had stabbed her parents and siblings. Soon after, a man ran out of a house on the other side of town, also covered in blood. His house had been quarantined to keep the creature inside.<br><br>A girl locked herself in a gas station. She killed herself with pills right after calling emergency services, saying that she had captured it and didn't want to let it back out.<br><br>A long time after that, a store was held up. The thief was a man with no arms, legs, or face. He was carrying a bag over his shoulders, and walked upright as if there *was* a face on the front of the lump of flesh that had been his head.<br><br>The workers said he was a creepy customer with a deformed head. They had served him before. It was a small town.
