When shopping for groceries online, always check the replacements that the algorithm will make before confirming your order

A few days ago I ordered some food from a large supermarket chain. After confirming my order, and viewing my digital receipt, I saw that I had only about 75% of my items confirmed. Pretty much all my meat items were delayed until the next week, so they automatically replaced them.

Looking at the replacement items, I found they were the slightly more expensive versions of what I wanted to buy, which could cost me an extra £10 - £30 (USD 15-45ish), so be sure to check the replacements they give you. I doubt they were trying to scam me, but I would have been pissed if when my order came through and I saw they had replaced the more expensive items.

Tldr; always check the replacement items they make for you.

Edit: I use Asda (UK). Not sure if this applies to other vendors.
