My husband leaves a strange note on my pillow every night. I'm wondering if anyone has ever heard of this strange ritual.

Let’s start off by saying that my husband and I have a great marriage. I have my place of employment, and he has his. His job requires him to travel quite a lot, leaving us separated for a week or two at a time. Once he leaves, we only talk over the phone. He prefers doing this over texting. Also strange is that he doesn’t want me to call him; he never tells me why, but that’s his preference.<br><br>When he’s home we have the best time together. He’s always dropping sweet nothings in my ear and compliments me around every corner. Also strange is that he doesn’t like to have sex. I have to initiate every time, and he has said that he’s just not sexually attracted to me (he says he loves me though, and wishes he could be sexually attracted, just that he isn’t). He wants me to be happy, so we have sex whenever I want, and he goes through the motions. He tells me he’s sorry a lot, and is always doing the best he can. He’s a good man.<br><br>But I digress. Whenever he’s out of town, he leaves a note on my pillow before he goes. It’s the same note every time, and I ask you now: has anybody ever heard of this? Are you familiar with any superstitions like this, or know anyone who partakes in an activity like this? I’ve Googled it, and haven’t found anything that leads me to an answer, and so I figure the best place to ask is a forum where people talk about their strange experiences.<br><br>Here’s the note:<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>“Eileen, I’m over the mountains now. I cannot see your star. I will call you soon, my love.”<br><br>*We aren’t in a valley, and the nearest mountain range is about 2 hours away. Also, I don’t have my own star.*<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Maybe you’ll find this as strange as I do.
