My (23f) boyfriend (26m) is open about his anxiety and depression. I (23f) struggle with it too. How can I open up about it to him?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong sub. I would love any advice.

I have been with my boyfriend for 2.5 years and he's my best friend in the world. I love him so much and he is such an amazing person. We have talked about our mental health issues before, he is very open with me about his depression and anxiety. I also struggle with both. I don't know if I have actual clinical depression or not, I'm pretty sure I have GAD though.

When we first met I was open about it, but I have since closed up about it. I don't know why, I think it might be because I'm so in awe of him and how he is open with his struggles that I feel I don't want to change his view of me by telling him how bad it is for me. This is stupid and I know it. It's affecting me a lot though. I would feel so much better if he knew. I just don't know how to say it.

Any advice would be great! Thanks.

Edit for update: thanks everyone for the advice I will try it out sometime this week.

FURTHER EDIT:

So I told him. I didn't exactly get the response I wanted but I'm glad I told him I guess. He just kinda laughed and said that he already knew. It was kinda awkward.
