When I was at my heaviest my favorite snack was chocolate pudding. So, here I was in a situation that I had a little bit of money and time to get to a grocery store on a daily basis, and was able to eat lots of chocolate pudding. I decided one day I was gonna eat healthy. I got apples instead of pudding, and stopped overdoing it. That was only for a month and a half before I settled into eating a normal diet again. When I finished that month and a half, I hopped on a scale and I had lost 41 pounds. It was crazy. The first 10 pounds was the addiction to the pudding, the next 31 pounds was my body being in better shape. I'm gonna make a bet with you that you're eating snacks at all times of the day and have been addicted to and eating large amounts of junk food for an incredibly long time. Part of it is the addiction. But the majority of it is your body is in poor shape and you're retaining lots of water because of your poor diet. You are a substance abuser. You have developed an addiction that will need to go through a withdrawal period of at least a month before your body starts to discover why it was craving all that sugar. When you stop drinking soda or eating sweets, you are gonna go through a month of you craving it so bad you can't stand it. I didn't know this existed and it almost kept me from changing my diet at all. If you don't know this exists, you probably will assume it's because you're not built well enough to make the change, that you're allergic to dieting or something. So, you have to change your snacks around and try to discover less addictive and healthy alternatives until you discover a healthy snack that you're only eating a little bit of it. After that, food will just taste better and you'll feel better and it will be easy to eat healthy food and stay fit because you'll probably feel like garbage if you eat junk.
