Chambers

The only reason women don't get raped as much as men is because of the social stigma and legal repercussions. This is an extremely taboo topic but I want to know what the chambers community thinks about it

I'm not saying it's right or wrong. I'm just saying that it happens way more than you might think and it's usually underreported. I have a close friend of mine who was raped when he was 8. It was at his grandparents house. The babysitter was there and she had taken my friends cousins to the other room and she took my friend to a room in the basement. She asked him to take off his pants and she started raping him. He was able to run to the back door and escape but he still had marks on his neck from her holding him. He didn't tell anyone for a long time because he didn't want to be teased as he had been raped. He finally told his dad who took him to the police station and his grandma ended up getting 6 years in prison.

Another thing I want to add is that this is not something to be celebrated. Rape is a horrible thing that can be extremely traumatic to the person that gets raped and it can cause PTSD and other issues. I'm just trying to bring light to this subject because it is very taboo. I don't want to encourage this behavior I'm just talking about it.
