Is Ti-Consciousness an intellectual exercise that became too formulaic?

TIL: Is the expansion of the continental / analytic dichotomy so much of an intellectual exercise that it has stopped making sense and instead has become too "algorithmic", too formulaic, almost like a "painting by numbers" exercise in which one of the options is always Ti and the other Te. <br><br>Do people overdo this distinction so that everything can be explained by being Ti or Te? Do people miss other types of consciousness?
