What is nuanced about Maoism?

Unfortunately, I do not know enough about Maoism to understand why Maoists tend to say they are nuanced.<br><br><br><br>Like, Marxists and Maoists often tend to be critical of generic “Marxist-Lennist” or just “communist,” instead choosing to call themselves Maoist." Why? What part of Maoism makes it so nuanced and why do people tend to call it that? I don’t know anything about Maoism nuanced or not.
