We lost the world’s last pure bred Scottish wildcat

In 1984, a conservation effort to save the Scottish wildcat was started. Unfortunately, inbreeding with domestic cats and habitat invasion coupled with mathematics led to them concluding that the endeavor was futile and they have given up on saving the Scottish wildcat. The last remaining pure bred died 6 years ago. Its a shame people have forced out major species because the UKs grotesque population has expanded exponentially. It is another example of how our species exploits the planet to its own benefit.
