Has anyone else noticed a massive decline in quality on here?

It's getting to the point where browsing the boards is boring and annoying. I've been on this site for many years now and this level of decline in quality is getting ridiculous. <br><br>Political memes and "wokeism" have ruined the site. I've even heard some idiots on this site say that they use it as a "red pill" or that it is even "far-right" but anyone with even a slight idea of how this place works knows that most of us here are just apolitcal, with political leaning based mostly on autistic turf wars, and comedy. I swear I've even seen some people on this site say that it has always been the "right" side of the internet but anyone who used this site in its prime knows that this is simply not the case. The "leftist" memes and rightist memes have both become so repetitive, unoriginal, and unfunny that it borders on crazy. Political memes have always been a part of this site, but even as recently as a couple years ago it still felt like that the most of the site was an apolitical and free space. Now we are at a level where it's the norm to see both sides have multiple boards dedicated to circlejerking to each other. It's getting boring seeing the same bullshit fights everyday. Like most of us on this site don't even care enough about politics to have an opinion anymore. We're just tired of the constant barrage of those low effort memes on every single board. <br><br>I also think that the site has lost a lot of its original spirit. It used to be that we were free to post whatever the fuck we wanted on any of the boards. It was a space with the only rule being that anything outside of child pornography was allowed. Now all the "centrists" and "normies" that have invaded the site are constantly whining about how "they shouldn't allow this" and how "they shouldn't allow that" until I guess one day they thought that they should be in charge of the site and making the rules, and since then the site just shits itself everywhere it goes and no one cares about it or uses it anymore. I never thought that I would say this but this has honestly turned into a "reddit" level site. Most of the former content creators have moved on to greener pastures as this site is dying out slowly. I wish that the site could be restored to its former glory but that will never happen with the site being run the way that it is now, unfortunately.
