I was with a girl and she gave me a weird look for liking the term feminist

I am a very pro-male guy, but I have a lot of respect for feminism and I believe in equality between both sexes.<br><br>The girl I was talking to (whom I really like) asked me what I thought about feminism, and I told her I was a big fan of the term, because feminism is what it's all about. She gave me a weird look, and then said that she doesn't agree with the term because it's a male conspiracy. She said it's just a bunch of nonsense. I was kind of disappointed in her opinion, because I believe that men and women should be treated equally.<br><br>I told her I don't agree, because I think men are the ones who have been oppressed the most. And then she said something along the lines of, "The men who are being oppressed are rich, white, and privileged." I said, "So, you think only white men are oppressed? What about black men? What about trans men? What about gay men? I believe we are all oppressed in different ways." She just said, "Women are the ones who are being oppressed."<br><br>I was so disappointed in her opinion, because I think men and women should be treated equally. I think it's time we focus on the term feminism, and not let women take control of the movement.
