I'm about 90% sure that this belongs on r/roosterteeth instead of here, since this topic is being argued both in favor of men's rights and against feminism, but I want to play devil's advocate for a moment.

I feel like women already have the choice to have an abortion without needing the consent of the father of the child. But then women also have the right to "give up" custody if they so choose. Men have no say in this matter, whether or not the woman decides to keep or abort the child, or if she does decide to keep the child, she can choose to give up custody without taking the father into consideration.

I believe that men should have the option to legally refuse or "give up custody" and any parental responsibilities without ramifications. The woman would have full custody and the man would not have any financial burdens. The woman cannot force the man to pay child support.

On a side note, if a woman gets pregnant and decides to abort the child without the consent of the man, I feel like the man should not have a say in the matter. But he should be given the option of "refusing" custody should the woman decide to keep the child.

CMV

Edit: Just to clarify, I am talking about men having the option to sign away their rights. I am not saying that men should have a choice in whether or not a woman keeps the child.
