President Donald Trump made history Wednesday as the first president to be impeached twice by the U. S. House of Representatives. He is accused of inciting the riot that occurred at the U. S. Capitol last week. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has stated he will not reconvene the Senate prior to January 19, leaving open the possibility that the impeachment trial will take place during the beginning of President-elect Joseph Biden’s administration. <br><br>This is the subreddit’s megathread for discussion of the impeachment.
