My (28F) bf (29M) is convinced we are going to breakup when we have kids even though I told him I am happy with adopting and don't want bio kids. What is going on with this??

My bf and I have been together for 2 and a half years, living together for 1 and a half and are planning on getting married and having kids. We talk often about when we are going to have kids and are very excited about it. <br><br>However, he has started to make a lot of comments about "us breaking up when we have kids". He says he doesn't know why but he just has a weird feeling about it. I asked him what is causing this concern and he responded that he doesn't want to miss out on being with other people and he is worried that I will become clingy or obsessive once we have kids.<br><br>I am not a clingy or obsessive person. I have always been a very independent person, and I told him that. I have worked as a nanny for many years and I know what it is like for parents to need some time to themselves. I told him I don't have a problem spending time apart. Also, I don't plan on having any biological children. We are planning on adopting and I told him I am happy with adopting and don't want biological kids. I plan on getting my tubes tied after we adopt a child. <br><br>I asked him what else is making him feel this way. The reason why I am concerned is because I have a family history of trauma surrounding people leaving. My parents divorced when I was 2, my biological father cheated on my mom and I have many aunts and uncles that cheated on each other. This is the absolute last thing I want for our relationship. He said that he doesn't know what else is causing these feelings but he just has a bad feeling about it. <br><br>What in the world is going on with this? Should I be worried? I don't plan on cheating on him and I have no intentions of breaking up with him. I am getting ready to marry him so I am very committed to our relationship. I want to be with him for the rest of my life and I am very plan on leading a faithful life with him and our future kids.
