Lightning Rods for your house

Some Rambling: I've got a CCW and I'm armed in my house. But it sure seems like it would be smart to have a lightning rod for your house, like a door that a home intruder is likely to choose. Is there such a thing? And if so, what is the most likely place for an intruder to enter your house through? And what would be the odds that us gun idiots would convert it to a kill pit?

I'm just thinking about this because I might have to move to a new city and new house. I've always had a condo with good security in a relatively safe area. I'm now thinking about making a long-term decision for the rest of my life. I'm old enough to know what I love doing and where I love doing it.
