The word "fascism" was originally a term coined by the people of Italy for their dislike of Mussolini, but now it's just used by the extreme left to influence people and make them follow the left's ideals

Doesn't matter if you're on the right or the left people just keep throwing it at each other until it lost its meaning in the modern times, now people would label all their political enemies as fascist and then incidentally call for violence with the classic "punch a fascist" phrase with slightly modernized "no-platforming nationalists"<br><br>If there ever existed a real fascist government in the modern times, I doubt that the word would hold its original meaning and is just people using fallacy of association in order to label others as people with a different worldview, as I'd see the equal amount of people uninfluenced by real fascist ideology now and people from Mussolini's time and closer to modern times.
