Weird how therapists are so often against incest

They're normally the most progressive people and lately I see a lot of stuff like 'incest is so rare but with the rise of fertility problems etc it's gonna be an issue so we should have rules to deal with it'.

But therapists are generally against it even though it's been happening forever and everyone gets over it. I see some people on r/relationships saying come to us and we'll go to court and your dad will text you and the two of you will be the ones to cut your mother from your lives.

Everyones' best interest is always top of their list.
