Making this as short as possible. I've been reading about the theory of the multiverse for some time now. For the purpose of this exercise, take it as true.

Consider your choices as the branching points of different timelines. In theory, you chose path A, but there is a different universe out there for each of your choices not taken. Consider further that every choice made by every person in every history, is now a branching event for the timeline.

What are the odds of our reality? Or more specifically, how many realities exist out there in which humanity has gone extinct?

Discuss.

**Edit: One person asked if we can choose a path that is already "set" into the grand scheme. With the many worlds hypotheses, any quantum event can create new paths. A "determined" path can, under certain circumstances, become an branching event for the timeline, effectively creating an alternate path**
