My wife has a bunch of those packing cubes she uses when she travels. Today, I was doing laundry and had to wash about 30 stocking so I could get the sand out of them. The best way I have found to do this is putting them in a mesh laundry bag and running a wash. This blows them around the washer and can easily get them tangled or nipped on the hinges.

I put them inside a packing cube and tried it and it went awesome. I was able to throw the washer on the spin and dry setting and I will probably never use the delicate setting again.

Next time I buy one of these mesh laundry bags I plan on spending an extra 5 dollars and buying a packing cube. I did find that one large cube is far better than several small ones. Make it large enough for the items that you need to toss in there.

Edit:
NEVER use hot water for nylons.

Also for my sock bros, I have found recently that using kingsize condoms to wash them is far superior than the bag or the cube. I put like 5-6 pairs in it.

I also have found it best to use the delicate wash setting as it far less likely to fuck with the stitches in the socks.
