New York (and surrounding areas) Get Used to Being Shot At Tonight- NOLA Reddit user

EDIT: For anyone curious, the streets are dead, and I never heard a single firework or gunshot all night. <br><br>Hey Everyone,<br><br>I'm a user from r/NOLAFuckYou. I live 2 blocks from Bourbon St, and the police presence is substantial. <br><br>Usually on New Years, there are a couple of idiots that decide to shoot in the air, but I'm sure with the recent events, and the fact that the NOPD is out in force, the sounds of gunfire will not be as loud.<br><br>My advice to all New Yorkers tonight - Keep your heads down. This is not an empty threat.<br><br>EDIT: I'm not trying to alarm anyone. I just want everyone to be safe.
