Why do people say "fuck" every 5 seconds in an argument?

I've just casually been watching YouTube channel called "Shittysouvenir" when he's talking about him having witnessed a fight at the grocery store. The three men involved were just cursing nonstop. Luckily he and OP cut out most of the n word, but my question is; what's the use of cursing? Does it make you feel better? You're no more intimidating, and you're not "winning" the argument by dropping F bombs left and right. Are some people just that stupid or do they think it's an effective technique?
