The whole idea of yandere is a girl who is pathetic and so in love with a guy she wants him to be happy but also wants the attention. She is a little crazy, obsessed, wanting to protect him from other girls. But the creator wished the male to get away from yandere and be with a normal girl instead. The yandere can have a soft side but is also abrasive and annoying at times, sometimes even abusive. Yandere is obsessed not over the guy but really herself, about being insecure and unable to stop thinking about him. Today the people on twitter think Yandere is just an abusive girl who is like a fixer. That yandere girl is kind, caring, loving, never does anything mean, she's the only one who understands the guy and that the guy makes her go insane. But the original Yandere was never meant to be the protagonist, was never meant to look so good, was never meant to be this sweet and caring.

I don't know, I don't get why people think of Yandere this way today. Even in anime the yandere is always a side character that you are supposed to find a little weird, a little uncomfortable.

I don't know, but I never would date a yandere.
