What is it with how women think that men are too stupid to figure out how to do something?

I’ve been dating a girl for the past couple of months, but she just blows my mind with how she acts some times.

When we first started dating, I would always ask her to help me with stuff. It could be anything, from fixing my bike, to cooking, to making a video. I always found it very cute and feminine to see a girl help a guy out.

However, this has slowly changed over time. Recently, every time I ask her to help me with something, she starts acting all superior and tries to talk down to me like I’m a child. For example, the other day, I wanted to make a video with her. I explained what I wanted the video to be about, but she kept interrupting me and changing my idea. Finally, after a long discussion, she agreed to make the video, but she just did everything by herself and I had to just sit there and watch. I asked her if I could just help her with editing the video, and she said “I got it. I’m really good at editing. You’re not very good at this stuff.”

Today was probably the most annoying incident so far. I was trying to assemble a new chair I bought, but I was having some trouble with the instructions, so I asked her if she could help me. I was expecting the same attitude she usually has, where she comes over, helps me, and acts cute. But no. She just sat down and said “I’m really not good with instructions. You’re better than me at this stuff.”

This really pissed me off, but I didn’t say anything. But it just keeps happening more and more. For example, she asked me to help her fix her car, but when I went to do it, she kept telling me what to do and correcting me like I was a child. I just stood there and let her do it all herself.

I’ve tried talking to her about this before, but she always says the same thing: “I just want to help you. I’m not trying to make you feel bad or anything.”

But it’s not just with me. I’ve seen her interact with other guys, and she always acts the same way. For example, I saw her help one of her guy friends move into a new apartment, and he kept complaining about how she was doing everything wrong and how she wasn’t helping him at all. And she just sat there and acted like she didn’t hear anything.

I’ve tried to talk to her about this before, but she always denies it. I even caught her talking shit about me behind my back, saying how I’m “so stupid and clueless” and how she “can’t believe she’s dating someone like me.” But whenever I bring it up to her, she just denies it and acts like she didn’t say anything.

I’m starting to think that she’s just one of those women who thinks that men are too stupid to do anything, and she likes to act superior and act like a mother to guys. And it’s getting really annoying.
