Whey is top soil radioactive

I was watching the day a man fell 120 stories and lived, the man fell from one of the twin towers. A picture came up of the man surviving, but with a red splash on the ground where he landed. The red was his blood. I was like why is he bleeding all over the ground. He survived a 120 stories fall, but died from bleeding coming when he landed. He fell 120 stories and lived, but bleeding to death is a normal sinse for us all I guess.
