So this recently happened while I was on vacation in the Caribbean. One night I got very drunk on a boat and we pulled up to a dock to drink more. I got sick and ran into the only bathroom nearby, which was a dockside restaurant’s bathroom. The next morning I only vaguely remembered that a man had come across from the stall next to me and tried to open my door but I was incoherent enough to scare him off.

I remembered this because two nights ago I was at a concert and I had to go to the bathroom at the venue. I went in the handicap stall to have more space to change after my period and as I was sitting down I noticed the shower curtain adjacent to me was moving. It seemed to sort of puff outward. I didn’t really think much of it but then heard a rustling noise coming from the stall. I sort of froze up and peed a little when a man’s arm came out from behind the curtain and started opening my stall door.

I scream and started hitting my purse on the door as hard as I could and the guy backed away. Some other women in the bathroom heard me and helped me call security. They found no one and I had no proof of anything so I chalked it up to being paranoid.

But I got to thinking, that happened to me two nights ago, and it happened to me less than two weeks ago as well. In two different states. In two different bathrooms. If this was the same man somehow, where was he the rest of the time? How likely is it that he was in the same bathroom as me on two separate instances? Or is it possible that there is a network of people that do this? It’s just bizarre to me that I have happened across this specific situation twice in my life.

Edit: I just wanted to quickly say thank you to everyone who has been kind and supportive of my story and to let you guys know that I did contact local authorities about the incidents, just as a few of you asked.
As much as I would have loved to have caught the guy, I knew that my story would not be able to hold up on it’s own and be taken seriously in court, especially with the first incident having no witnesses.
However, I did work with police in the two jurisdictions to enter my story and they were able to link the two incidents to similar crimes in other states.

I have received no official updates, but I wanted to say to the guy that did this, if you happen to see this post, that I’m doing fine now and you did not win. I have not been afraid to go out in public since this happened to me. I am proud to say that I did not let you take away my freedom.

Thank you all again.
