Is there anything wrong with the ethics/standards of the science these days?

I think there is an unhealthy obsession nowadays with sensationalism and getting more citations, rather than doing good science or just doing more good science. There’s a lot of sloppy sloppy research on the way, that is only designed to get popular or be cited more, rather than to do good work ?
