Taiwan on Thursday proposed a new plan to expand the world's leading chipmaker in the US amid China's rising economic threats.<br><br>Taiwanese Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-Hua said Taiwan plans to attract around $120 billion in investments over the next five years. Taiwan is investing heavily in its own chip production as well, aiming to have a $140 billion plant up and running within a decade.
