Steps to prevent firearms fromricocheting and bouncing around hallow walls and ceilings

Throw a throw pillow on the floor behind it. The bullet will sink into the pillow (which will just barely put it on the right side of the firm/hard line) and help prevent it from bouncing or ricocheting around.
