The way our society is structured is beyond contempt

I know that probably everyone on this site has thought the same thing, but I'm going to go ahead and say in again:<br><br>Humanity is contention at it's finest. Our societies are structured in a way that everyone in charge is trying to get in each other's vag at all times. One leader tries to one up another, one company tries to crush the competition. All of the power is held in very few hands. These few people are not elected by the population, nor do they care about our welfare at all. Their main concerns are expanding their spheres of influence, thus crushing any opposition. They do not care about the welfare of the population, unless we can turn a profit from them. These people have so much power that they are able to purchase the loyalty of our elected officials. We elected these representatives in the hopes of achieving happiness and safety. Unfortunately, this is not the case. They are purchased by the handful of people who control the majority of the world's influence and money.<br><br>We all work our assess off (the luckier people at least) in order to get on this little thing called the "social ladder." The only problem, is that this ladder is propped up against a building that is impossible to climb. We are fed a shit ton of propaganda in order to support this broken system. We are fed false happiness, we are told that this is the life, work your ass off and enjoy the freedom that you are given. Unfortunately, we are not given freedom. We are given the illusion of freedom, we are allowed to choose between the handful of options that are given to us. We have a choice between A and B, but on occasion we will be granted the ability to choose between A, B, and C. We are made to believe that this is freedom, and thus follow the rules that are laid out for us and try to be happy in the illusion of happiness.<br><br>I know that I'm preaching to the choir, and I know that I'm not saying anything that at least a few people haven't thought of before. I just want to lay out a concrete list of my problems with humanity, as I have thought these things through many times, and I want to lay them out in one place (not here, as this is just a list that I have been thinking about). I want you to consider all of the external pressure we are under, all of the propaganda and lies that we are fed, all of the expectations that are placed on us.<br><br>And I want you to consider your own level of happiness in this life.<br><br>Thanks for listening to this rant. I think that we can all agree that a lot of shit is fucked up, and I'm interested to hear people's answers to these questions.
